Upon arriving at the fishing grounds, we will spend the afternoon fishing for Mahi-Mahi or possibly do a bit of tuna trolling if there has been hot trolling action.  The decision on what to fish for will be a 'captain's choice' depending on conditions.   We will then fish for tuna during the 'sunset bite', the entire 'night bite', and the 'morning bite'.  This works out to between 12 and 15 hours of fishing time for tuna alone.  For those of you who went on our extended trips last year, Chef George will be in our galley serving his tasty home-cooked meals and goodies.  A sleeping bunk is included with your fare (we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow.)  Reservations ARE required.

Our special 30-hour Canyon Tuna/Mahi Trips depart at 7:00 AM Tuesday and Thursday mornings and return approximately 1:00 PM the following afternoon.

Tuna rod rentals are available for $25 additional and include hooks and one sinker.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If high winds prevent us from sailing at 7:00 AM, we will try to sail later in the day and turn the trip into a standard tuna trip.   If we shorten the trip, we will credit you the cost difference.
