1.5-DAY TILEFISH & ROSEFISH

These very special trips are for Tilefish diehards and offer a whopping number of hours at the rail. We offer these trips during the late spring and summer months. On these trips, we travel during the night and drift for Tilefish and Rosefish during the day.  Fishing time on 1½-day trips is from sunrise to sunset. A sleeping bunk is included with your fare and we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. Hot meals, as well as hot and cold beverages, are available from our Galley at a reasonable cost

  • Trip Times for 1½-day trips – We leave at 10:00 PM and return between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM the second day
  • Fares – $450 for 1½-day trips. Conventional ($50 CASH at Boarding) and Electric ($75 CASH at Boarding) Reel Renals availble.  MUST be reserved prior to trip
  • Bait – Tilefish eat a great variety of things.  We provide Squid, but you are welcome to bring along other goodies
  • Recommended Fishing Tackle:
  • Rods and Reels – 6½ to 8-foot heavy-duty rod with a single or two-speed conventional reel filled with approximately 500 yards of 50 to 65-lb. test braided Spectra line. We strongly suggest using braided line since we will be fishing in very deep water (up to 1,000 feet)
  • Tackle – 16 to 80-oz bank sinkers, 5/0 to 8/0 bait holder hooks, 5/0 to 8/0 Octopus or Octopus circle hooks, 60 or 80 lb. leader material, heavy-duty swivels, 16 to 32-oz jigs. We use 2-hook bottom rigs or 1-hook rigs when there are really big fish around. The Captain will let you know which one to use. You can tie your own rigs or buy them on the boat for a reasonable fee

2-DAY CANYON TUNA/MAHI TRIP

26 Passenger Limit.  

We offer these trips during the fall months. Upon arriving at the fishing grounds, we will spend the afternoon fishing for Mahi-Mahi or possibly do a bit of tuna trolling if there has been hot trolling action. The decision on what to fish for will be a 'captain's choice' depending on conditions. We will then fish for tuna during the 'sunset bite', the entire 'night bite', and the 'morning bite'. This works out to between 12 and 15 hours of fishing time for tuna alone. A sleeping bunk is included with your fare and we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. Hot meals, as well as hot and cold beverages, are available from our Galley at a reasonable cost.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If high winds prevent us from sailing at 5:00 PM we will try to sail later in the evening and turn the trip into a standard tuna trip.   If we shorten the trip, we will credit you the cost difference

These special Open Boat trips offer anglers an opportunity to fish offshore wrecks for Cod, along with some Pollock and Ling. 

We fish during the day and all of the fish we catch on these trips are excellent eating. These trips are offered during the spring, fall, and winter months. Our heated handrails will keep your hands warm and toasty, but be sure to bring along plenty of warm clothing.

Open Boat trip and you don't need to make reservations. Like other party boats, we work on a first-come, first-serve basis, so all you need to do is arrive at the boat anywhere from one to one-half hour before sailing time.

OFFSHORE SEA BASS & PORGIES TRIP

These fall and winter trips leave at night and travel to wrecks located approximately 50 to 80 miles off the New Jersey coast by daybreak. A wide variety of fish are found on offshore wrecks, but the catch is generally Black Sea Bass from 2 to 7-lbs and Porgies from 2 to 3-lbs, plus some Pollock and Cod up to 30-lbs. All of the fish we catch on these trips are excellent eating and anglers often make limit catches. Our heated handrails will keep your hands warm and toasty, but be sure to bring along plenty of warm clothing. A sleeping bunk is included with your fare and we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. OVERNIGHT CANYON TUNA TRIP

During the late summer and fall months, our 21-hour, overnight canyon tuna trips offer excitement, sport, and the ultimate in fishing challenges. We travel about 4 to 5 hours to the undersea canyons at the edge of the continental shelf where we catch Yellowfin, Albacore, and Bigeye tuna as well as Mahi-Mahi, Mako shark, White Marlin, and Swordfish. Tuna range in size from 20 to over 300-lbs and swordfish can easily exceed 100-lbs. These trips are recommended for anglers with moderate experience who are in good physical condition. A sleeping bunk is included with your fare and we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. Hot meals, as well as hot and cold beverages, are available from our Galley at a reasonable cost.

These very special trips are for Tilefish diehards and offer a whopping number of hours at the rail. We offer these trips during the summer months. On these trips, we travel during the night and drift for Tilefish, White Hakeand, Rosefish and other bottom dwellers during the day.   Fishing time on 3-day trips is from sunrise to sunset for 2 days. A sleeping bunk is included with your fare and we suggest you bring a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. Hot meals, as well as hot and cold beverages, are available from our Galley at a reasonable cost

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED on these trips.   To reserve a spot, pick a trip with available spots from our Trip Calendar page and then follow the instructions on our Reservations page.

  • Trip Times for 3-day trips – We leave at 5:00 PM and return 10am the day 4
  • Fares – $1000  for this trip.  Limited number of rental rods for Tilefishing are available on these trips
  • Bait – Tilefish eat a great variety of things. We provide Squid, but you are welcome to bring along other goodies
  • Recommended Fishing Tackle:
  • Rods and Reels – 6½ to 8-foot heavy-duty rod with a single or two-speed conventional reel filled with approximately 500 yards of 50 to 65-lb. test braided Spectra line. We strongly suggest using braided line since we will be fishing in very deep water (up to 1,000 feet)
  • Tackle – 16 to 80-oz bank sinkers, 5/0 to 8/0 bait holder hooks, 5/0 to 8/0 Octopus or Octopus circle hooks, 60 or 80 lb. leader material, heavy-duty swivels, 16 to 32-oz jigs. We use 2-hook bottom rigs or 1-hook rigs when there are really big fish around.   The Captain will let you know which one to use. You can tie your own rigs or buy them on the boat for a reasonable fee
